Question: What is a surf keey and what is its purpose?

Answer: Essentially, they have the same function as a spherical bearing in the hanger. In any truck without sphericals, the kingpin hole in the hanger is quite a bit bigger than the kingpin itself. Because of this, there's quite a bit of turn "lost to compression"... basically, the truck leans over and squishes the bushing, but doesn't translate that lean into turn. By eliminating this kind of squishing, the Surf-Keey restricts the hanger to the intended axis of rotation, so every little bit of lean translates into turning.
